The course topics are outlined in the curriculum, but it is important to note that the focus of this course is to develop your understanding of positive-reinforcement training principles.

Because each dog is unique, it is impossible to create a one-size-fits-all formula for teaching every behavior. However, if you understand the principles, you can learn to make the training plan adjustments you need for your own dog!

This course provides detailed instructions for teaching behaviors. The methods taught were chosen based on several criteria.

The methods used are:

• Force-free (no pain, fear, or coercion)
• Successful with most dogs
• Easy to practice within daily routines
• Ideal for novice trainers, including pet dog owners

As you go through the course, don't forget to ask questions and interact with other students using the forum tool at the bottom of most lectures!

Supplies you will need:

This course uses a clicker to aid in our communication with our dogs. You can pick one up at a pet store, or purchase a few online from Amazon using our affiliate link!

A clicker, treats, and a regular leash are the only tools you will need to complete this course. Feel free to check out our resources page for other recommended items.
